WORDPlay: Where Art Builds Connection and Community

In an era where digital communication is constant, real human connection can feel rare. The aftermath of the pandemic, social media overload, and societal division have left many communities feeling more isolated than ever.

But we believe the arts can change that.

Arts for More is on a mission to reconnect people through meaningful, shared experiences. Our signature program, WORDPlay, is a live performance series that brings together poets, authors, and musicians in intimate settings—all in support of nonprofit organizations making a difference.

What Is WORDPlay?

WORDPlay events feature curated live readings and musical collaborations, hosted in welcoming spaces like libraries, coffee shops, bookstores, and community centers. Each event supports:

  • Artists, by giving them a paid platform to share their work

  • Venues, by driving traffic and offering a unique cultural experience

  • Nonprofits, by directing proceeds from tickets and donations to their cause

Every performance is a benefit event for a local nonprofit chosen by the featured artists. These organizations are doing meaningful work, day in and day out, in the local and global communities.

How You Can Be involved:

We’re always looking for:

  • Host venues interested in bringing WORDPlay to their space

  • Nonprofit partners ready to raise visibility and funds through a live event

  • Artists who want their words and music to make a real-world impact

If you're a venue, nonprofit, or artist looking to create connection, community, and purpose through performance, we’d love to collaborate with you.

Let’s Make Art That Does More

Together, we can support working artists, uplift community organizations, and create lasting connections through the power of live storytelling and music.
